The Exit...Stage Left Tour served as a victory lap for the massively successful Moving Pictures era while supporting their second live album. Consequently, the set list remained largely identical to the previous tour, retaining the heavy reliance on their most recent hits, as well as the massive, segmented closing medley of 70s staples. However, true to form, Rush couldn't resist looking forward. To the delight of audiences, they swapped out "Natural Science" to road-test a pre-release version of "Subdivisions." This early live debut provided fans with a tantalizing glimpse into the heavily synthesizer-driven direction the band would soon take on their upcoming Signals album.
