Firstly, thank you to all the bands who have contributed to this wonderful album in honour of 'The Professor'. On a side-note I played drums as a teenager, but after I started at Olympic in '64 working with drummers like Ronnie Verrel, Clem Cattini, Ginger Baker & Keith Moon I realized that drumming wasn't what I was cut out for, but I could go on to record as many great drummers as possible!
Enter Neil Peart, melodic percussion with power over strong melodies — what a combination! Add to this the success of RUSH he soon became the air-drummers dream. A man who inspired so many young players to follow their hearts because he devoted everything to his playing & writing. Rest In Peace Neil and thank you, you gave us so much. -TERRY BROWN
